Summary
Hemorrhoidal disease is regarded as a social disease of the 21^st century, that is why an effective treatment of this disease is essential. A completely safe and effective method of treating internal hemorrhoids is Barron’s rubber band ligation method which has been practiced in proctological surgeries for over 40 years.
In the following article the authors present a case of a male patient treated for internal hemorrhoids by means of Barron’s rubber band ligation as well as review the latest literature referring to this method.
