Streszczenie
Authors presented basic fundamentals of pediatric tracheotomy management based on their oun experience and data from literature. Changes in the indications for tracheotomy during last 30 years are discussed. Surgical procedure for pediatric tracheotomy performing in Pediatric ENT Department in Warsaw is described in the article. Most frequent complications and postoperative care problems are discussed. Varius approaches and methods of tracheostomy decannulations are analyzed.
