Streszczenie
The principle of solidarity, being both ontological, moral and legal, is based on personalism. It means that it supports the autonomy of a human being, its dignity and ability to go beyond nature and history. The analysis carried out so far, indicates that the service of the hospice movement reaches its climax and highest value in the spotlight of the love´s ethos of solidarity. The human being, as an aware, rational and free spirit, is able to create a bond of partnership and solidarity with others. The awareness and acceptance of the common good is expressed in the work of a community. Thus, solidarity is a prime feature of the hospice team member and the attitude of Christians. It brings order to human activity, directing it towards a community for both its social and personal welfare Solidarity has a community dimension based on the awareness of the common good. It should also be remembered that this social and moral principle concerns particular men and women, their attiudes and behaviours. The solidarity principle is the more precise interpretation of the principle of personalism, and it is also the basis of the Hospice Movement. The attitude of solidarity expresses the special human bond, and is the realisation of the love which Christians are called to. This conception of the principle leads to the conclusion that solidarity is one of the rules of the hospice service ethos.
