Streszczenie
The usefulness of laparoscopic surgery in gynecological oncology was presented in this article. The development of types of the laparoscopic lymphadenectomy was characterized. Special attention has been put to achieving the results comparable with conventional surgery. The results of Memorial Cancer Institute in Warsaw were compared with results taken from literature. Indications for laparoscopic surgery, considering diagnostic and therapeutic purpose, have been presented. The risk of complications was analyzed, taking also into consideration own material. It should be pointed that the risk of complications at the beginning of introducing this method is high. It has permanently dropped during achieving the experience in this technique. Long term results of the patients who have been treated due to gynecologic malignancy by using laparoscopy were presented. On the basis of our own observations, no difference in survival was shown between 91 patients treated laparoscopically and 134 women treated classically due to endometrial cancer. In the final part of the article indications for hysteroscopy in gynecological oncology have been demonstrated.
