Summary
Stages of audiological diagnostics include evaluation of: 1) quantitative and qualitative hearing loss, 2) localisation of the damage (topodiagnostics) and 3) etiology of hearing loss. Audiometric test and basic results using subjective as well as objective methods with the characteristics of conductive, perceptive and mixed hypoacusis are explained. Shortly, cochlear, retrocochlear and central localisation of the hearing loss are presented.
