Summary
Last years technical progress brought modern and effective methods of delivering insulin for diabetics. Today´s offer of different devices used for delivering insulin in daily practice, especially insulin pumps, is presented in this paper. Their advantages and problems with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion are discussed. Rising the quality of life of patients with diabetes and achieving the best possible metabolic control are still most powerful to seeking for new, different solutions of individualized insulin therapy.
