Summary
The study demonstrates the problems of treatment of elderly individuals with fractures and degenerative bone-joints diseases. Most of the fractures were located in the distal radius, proximal humerus and proximal femur. Most of the degenerative alterations were located in the hip, knee and the spinal column.
The main aim of treatment is achieving the best possible function of the limb after the fracture or with degenerative alterations. The biggest problem of rehabilitation of elderly individuals are senile dementia and social conditions.
