Summary
There were analysed 85 patients (33 females and 52 males) treated for malleolar fracture in Traumatology and Orthopaedics Department in Konstancin between 1997 and 1999. 66 patients treated surgically and 29 patients treated conservatively. Post traumatic reflex sympathetic dystrophy was found in 4 cases. The authors conclude, that results of the treatment algodystrophy dependent from preventive measures and early diagnosis.
