Summary
The relationship between the functional status and the range of dementia and amior subtypes was corelated. We examinated the activities of the patients by evoluation form of Activities of Daily Living Index (Index of ADL). Dementia was diagnosed by Mini –Mental State Examination (MMSE). All patietns were selected during the standard geriatric examination in geratric despensary in Katowice. We observed corelation between ADL and MMSE in all cases of dementia. We showed that ADL index is usefull to define the activities in dementia. ADL index corelate with moderate and severe dementia independent of subtypes.
