Summary
The increasing number of COVID-19 infections during the subsequent waves of the pandemic and the inquiries from patients looking for natural treatment have shown a need for a holistic approach to the problem and for a treatment including herbs, supported with everyday diet, as something natural in man’s functioning.
This article points to some aspects of treatment of coronavirus patients based on the traditional Chinese medicine with the use of herbs and other therapeutic agents, including food, which can be good or bad for the treatment. Food products must be selected very carefully during the treatment. It has been shown that the temperature in lungs is the main factor of the disease. The combination of the official medicine, herbs and adequate diet during the treatment is of considerable significance. The tables present the names of herbs and food products to be used for this purpose. Attention should be paid to the harmful impact of smoking that increases the risk of respiratory diseases and causes dyspnea. This article contains suggested methods of natural treatment for patients looking for alternative treatment that may considerably relieve symptoms of the disease.
