A survey research conducted on a 157 patients with hypertension was aimed to help getting to know what is motivation and compliance with therapy. It has been concluded that main reason for hypertension treatment is fear of stroke. Systematic treatment of hypertension was declared by 76% of patients, and 48% of them was declared regular measure blood pressure at home. The worst tolerated among side effects are headaches and changing of blood pressure. More than half of patients declared that they would like to take a cheap, domestic, applied once a day antihypertensive drug.
The knowledge of patients fears, opinions and expectations can be helpful in choosing a better hypertension treatment and can contribute to improving blood pressure control.
