The absence of any scientific explanation of homeotherapy is one of the principal factors which make it one of the most controversial therapeutic methods. However, the further development of psychosomatic medicine and systemic approach to the problems of health could perhaps provide an explantation of the principles of homeopathy and homeotherapy, and could possibly interest medical sppecialists in revising their attitude towards them. The philosophy of homeopathy with its theory of diseases, with stress laid on individualized treatment, and with its belief in human organism and its ability to self-healing, resembles many aspects of holistic medicine and health care.
