Dear Readers,
In our current edition we are happy to present you with two original papers whose authors discuss a holistic approach to the patient whereby not only the patient’s physical symptoms are considered, but also their overall quality of life that is affected by psychological, social and professional aspects alike. The first of them deals with the influence of the patient’s acceptance of their chronic condition, such as Crohn’s disease, on their quality of life. For the study, the authors used their own survey covering 22 questions related to factors such as the duration of the disease, its clinical manifestations, complications, the therapy used so far, and the demographics.
