Satysfakcja pacjentów z badań endoskopowych dolnego odcinka przewodu pokarmowego

Summary
Introduction. Endoscopy become a commonly used tool for diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology. Colonoscopy, is one of the most commonly performed diagnostic and therapeutic lower gastrointestinal tract (lower GI). One of the major factors limiting the application of research colonoscopy is patient discomfort, resulting in less acceptance testing and less favorable working conditions for the doctor. To reduce the inconvenience associated with a tolerance of endoscopic methods are attempts to improve testing by testing patient satisfaction, which is a very valuable measure of the quality.
Aim. The aim of this study is to determine the level of satisfaction of patients with endoscopy lower gastrointestinal tract (lower GI).
Material and methods. The study included 109 patients (57 women and 52 men) who underwent colonoscopy. The study was conducted in 2015 in the studios of endoscopy in Pomorskie and Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The study employed a survey of diagnostic and research tool was a questionnaire by their own.
Results. Patients who underwent endoscopic examination of the lower gastrointestinal tract under general anesthesia intravenous and topical, to a lesser extent, felt discomfort than patients using only local anesthesia or local anesthesia and premedication. Socio-demographic factors, smoking and comorbid conditions do not affect the overall tolerability of the study.
Conclusions. Should pay more attention to the proper preparation of the patient for a colonoscopy by introducing uniform standards of education and selection of appropriate means for bowel preparation. You should also consider the introduction of a standard can choose the type of anesthesia to the patient, which will increase their satisfaction, but also allow for more accurate and efficient execution of the study.
