Results. Most doctors accept the possibility of issuing legal orders in future medical and repeatable prescriptions by nurses (75.5 vs. 69.0%). Nurses, according to the doctors oppinion, are not currently prepared for new responsibilities (56.4%).
Conclusions. Physicians of Primary Health Care come up to new solutions with wariness, they declare in most cases, that the nurses should have the power to prescribe medical devices and drugs previously ordered by the physician (repeatable prescription) and foods forparticular nutritional uses. Awareness of physicians about new powers (the ordination of drugs and prescription) conferred by statute to nurses and midwives should be increased. Nurses and midwifes should be prepared to provide the provisions in a professional way.
