Summary
It was discussed the antibiotic activity of manuka honey with extraordinary taking into account of UMF and MGO markers for commercial estimation of this product. Moreover are analyzed the methods of determination of antimicrobial activity of manuka honey. Moreover were overviewed the pathogenic microbes for human body in aspect of their sensibility on above mentioned honey variety. It was stated that for growth inhibition of pathogenic microorganisms are enough the concentration of manuka honey within limits of 2-20%. For obtaining of the same result against yeast fungi and dermatophytes the concentration of manuka honey should be higher as 30%. Moreover manuka honey is effective against bacteria resistant for antibiotics.
