Summary
Sweeteners are widespread primarily in the food industry. An attractive alternative to sugar. Their prevalence was driven primarily by food shortage during the war. The intense sweetener is permitted for consumption by specifying the ratio of ADI. Due to the chemical structure stands out semi-synthetic and synthetic substances. The most common sweeteners are saccharin, acesulfame-K, steviol glycosides, aspartame, xylitol. Sweet taste is guaranteed've been using a minimum amount of their low calorie. The intense sweetener reduce the caloric content of products while maintaining flavor. Therefore they are of use in the production of dietary products "light". Experimental studies in animals have reported about the possible impact of a carcinogen, especially given aspartame. Consumption in the dose strictly safe is recommended in patients with diabetes, overweight and obesity. With the exception of saccharin sweeteners are safe also for pregnant women. Polish Diabetes Association for patients with diabetes and pre-diabetic states recommends replacing sugar substances intense sweeteners. But it can not be the whole of preventive measures including a substitute for physical activity.
