Summary
The publication has got the main goal to present therapeutic roles in treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis with the use of selective blocker of the second cyclooxygenase (COX-2) – meloxicam. This drug has got various generic names and has been present on the Polish market for a long time. The work shows indications and contraindications for using maloxicam, its advantages and disadvantages. The theoretical material has been based on data present in the international literature during last couple of years.
