Summary
A fractures of poximal part of femoral bone seems to be the most frequent rason of hospitalization elderly patients. It is still a therapeutic problem of importent meaning. One of accepted method of therapeutic treatment in such patients is an implantation of Austin-Moore endoprosthesis. Basing on clinical material caming from Orthopedic and Trauma Department diuring 1998-2002, authors present their own method of treatment in cases of femoral neck fractures. At the same time the final results of surgical treatment of 64 patients using Austin-Moore hemialloplasty, are also presented.
