Summary
The human natural menopause is a unique condition in mammals world, because the specimens live longer, than their reproductive abilities last. The biological and sociological-behavioristic theories explain the mechanism of this phenomenon. The loss of reproductive function and hormonal activity of ovaries justify the biological theory. It is caused by oogenesis pattern, which consists in prenatal determination of primordial germ cells number, and in consequence, determination of primordial ovarian vesicles number. According to the preliminary reports, there is a possibility to presence the primordial ovarian vesicles in adult ovaries and regeneration the vesicles in atrophy stage. The aim of this work was to show a connection between this discovery and the wide age range of the loss reproductive ability and the entrance to menopausal stage in individual specimens.
