„Triki” leczenia objawowego w onkologii

Summary
Neoplastic disease or diseases are systematic disturbances accompanied by many secondary symptoms, which may deteriorate the quality of life of patients, sometimes to a higher degree, than the basic disease. Because of this, in addition to specific anticancer treatment, patients may require additional therapy to alleviate particular symptoms. In this article simple measures directing into eliminating or decreasing symptoms such as pain, oral sores, nausea and vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea and symptoms from respiratory system (dyspnea, cough, hiccup), skin changes (bedsore, itch, loss of hair), ulcerative neoplastic changes, neoplastic fever, edemas (lymphatic, embolic -thrombotic), anemia, problems with venous access and with nutrition are reviewed. Symptomatic relief is also important while fighting yet another feature associated with cancer such as cachexia.
