Summary
Introduction. Properly planned physical training prevents loss of BMD and reduces the risk of bone fractures. Replacement of mechanical stimuli on biological signals in the bones, plays an essential role in skeletal adaptation to current loads, and also affects the achievement and maintenance of maximum bone mineral density.
Aim. The aim of the study was an evaluation of the state of mineralizeding of the bone tissue at women systematically attending organised fitness classes.
Material and methods. 200 women in the age of 29.4 ± 4.8 years from Warsaw were provided with examinations (100 women attending classes fitness: TBC, zumba, the steppe + ABT and 100 women not taking the physical activity). The following testing methods were applied: densitometry of forearm bones DXA method, basic anthropometrical measurements and the questionnaire concerning the physical activity.
Results. Mineral density of the bone tissue (BMD) and content of minerals in the bone tissue (BMC) made different indeed examined groups of women. Indeed BMD maximum values in both points of the measurement and the higher content of minerals in the bone tissue of the forearm was stated at active women in terms of physics compared with women taking no initiative. In the group of women being involved in organised classes fitness maximum values of BMD, BMC and the indicator t-score in both points of the measurement they stated in the group attending TBC classes.
Conclusions. Building top bone mass is ending about 35 of year of age. Taking the physical activity before this period by women, of especially dynamic forms about aerobic character and straining the skeleton axially (fitness) is supporting appearing of correct mass and mineralizeding of the bone tissue.
