Summary
The cutaneus melanoma is characterized by asymmetry of colour, jagged edges, heterogeneity of colours and diameters < 5 mm, but the majority of melanomas do not meet these criteria. Currently, the basis for the diagnosis and eligibility for excising a biopsy is Botox. Early diagnosis and surgical removal of the suspect lesion offers the chance of a cure in more than in 90% of patients, thereby improving their prognosis. The next step in the proceedings is the qualification of patients for radical cut excising scar tissue after biopsy with appropriate margins and sentinel lymph node biopsy. In patients with metastases to the lymph nodes is recommended radical lymphadenectomy. In patients with cutaneous melanoma with a high risk of relapse – metastases in the lymph nodes and or ulceration of the primary tumor is the preferred procedure for including the prospective clinical trials. In metastatic is recommended to perform testing for the BRAF mutation. At the stage of generalization seems to be the most appropriate treatment in clinical trials.
