Depilacja okolicy szpary międzypośladkowej u pacjentów po operacjach zatoki włosowej

Summary
Introduction. Pilonidal sinus disease is chronic inflammation process located in the natal cleft. After radical surgery, doctors should recommend regular depilation area of operation in order to prevent recurrence of disease.
Aim. The objective of this research was to collect information about the depilation area of the natal cleft after surgery.
Material and methods. The study has covered 32 randomly selected patients with pilonidal sinus after surgical treatment. In order to carry out a study prepared anonymous survey. Completed study was the examination review. The selection of the research sample took place on the basis of easy access and the nature of the study was a one-off. To this study the technique of the interview questionnaire was performed.
Results. The study conducted by 20 (62.5%) of male respondents said that it was not kept informed by their doctors about the need for regular depilation area of the natal cleft after surgery. Of the 12 respondents who answered that they had been informed by the doctors of the need for regular depilation area of the natal cleft after surgery, 7 (58.3%) men did not apply to medical recommendations, and 5 (41.7%) carries out the regular depilation the operated area.
Conclusions. Patients suffered from pilonidal sinus, after surgery should be informed by their doctors about the need for depilation the operated area and the natal cleft to prevent recurrence of the disease. Many studies have proven that regular hair removal operated area reduces the risk of relapse.
