Elbow dislocations, specially those complicated by intraarticular fractures remains not seldom the cause of subsequent joint dysfunction and disability of the entire extremity, regardless the correct treatment.
The paper presents the review of the commonest complications of these complex injuries, its mechanism, underlying causes and the principles of treatment.
