Summary
This article is a review on etiology, diagnostics and therapy of hydradenitis supprativa HS.
There are a few hypotheses concerning the etiology of Verneuil´s disease. The most important one is: hair follicle obstruction due to stagnation and secondary infection. Some of the scientists underline genetic factors. There are also theories connecting HS with infection factors such as Streptococcus milleri, Chlamydia, Staphylococcus aureus.
The incidence of HS is higher among men. Diagnose is given depending on the symptoms and pathology examination. The choise therapy is surgery.
