Zastosowanie wybranych środków biologicznych – PRP i rhBMP2 w regeneracji tkanek przyzębia – na podstawie piśmiennictwa

Summary
Periodontal treatment has been recently amplified with surgical techniques. Depending on the indications, not only resection therapy can be used, but also regeneration therapy, based on implemantation of osteconductive and osteoinductive materials. It enhances bone regeneration as well as prevents the undesirable epithelium proliferation. The range of such materials is very wide and considers autogenic bone implantation as well as xenogenic, allogenic or alloplastic as well as collagen membranes. It i salso possible to use biological agents which contain many growth factors, such as PRP and rhBMP-2.
The bibliographical data reveals an important role of PRP on peridontium and bone cells proliferation. The use of PRP together with xenogenic material leads to significant enhancement of clinical periodontal parameters, while the use of PRP in guided tissue regeneration is equivocal.
The recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein (rhBMP2) is mainly used in sinus augmentation. The implemantation of rhBMP2 together with bone substitutes or even on collagen sponge leads to formation of proper bone tissue which can be secondarily loaded with implants. It is important to use a right dose of rhBMP2.
It has been shown that the use of biological materials may enhance or even replace classic regeneration techniques.
