Summary
Spiegelian hernia is a rare anterior side abdominal wall hernia. This hernia constitute only 2% of all abdominal hernias. Clinical symptoms in patients with Spiegel hernia can be very different and the diagnosis is in many cases more difficult than the treatment. The method of treatment of this type of hernia is surgery.
In this article the authors present a case of patient who were treated surgically because of Spiegelian hernia and also reviewed the recent literature relating to this disease and its treatment.
