Summary
The literature reviews show that the propolis extracts demonstrate the significant cytotoxic activity against many lines of animal tumor cells also human tumor cells. It has been documented by in vitro and in vivo studies.
The carried out studies show, that the main mechanism of activity of propolis extracts on cancer cells is the induction of apoptosis process (programmed cell death).
