Funkcje psychologiczne przyczyniające się do rozwoju otyłości wśród ludności w Polsce

Summary
Introduction: Obesity is a very large problem for human health. In recent years, experts in nutrition and doctors gave more comments on psychological aspects of obesity. Obesity is concerned primarily with mini-bar monitoring quantities consumed food under the influence of emotions.
Material and methods: The Study was conducted from 01.11.2009 to 28.12.2009 among 2700 persons from Poland chosen deliberately. The selection criterion was the age of 18. Questionnaire technique and author's questionnaire survey were used as research techniques. The database of the material was created Microsoft EXCEL v 2007 worksheet and explored by statistical analysis using Stat Soft STATISTICA 9. Significance level α=0.05 was assumed and r-Pearson correlation analysis was applied.
Results: More than Ľ of persons showed regulating emotions and needs by eating behavior (26.36 ± 0.9%).
Conclusions: Psychological and emotional factors have a significant impact on the development of obesity. In relation to the high risk of obesity dissemination of nutritional education combined with psychological techniques and to the development of psychodietetics is recommended.
