Summary
In this paper, there are presented the contemporary opinions regarding dental caries treatment according to the literature. We concentrated on infants, children and adolescents. The common knowledge about caries etiology, the development of dental adhesive materials, improving dental tools to early caries detection and new techniques in early caries treatment- they allow us to avoid the traditional chirurgical caries treatment. In this paper we introduce the conception of minimally interventive dentistry based on biological caries treatment. This conception assumes the elimination of bacterial infection and tight restoration with adhesive materials. We presented contemporary methods of dental caries treatment. We also introduced therapeutic indications of using these methods and the benefits in everyday work in comparison to conservative treatment.
