Summary
Wild rose (briar) is a plant, that generally grows in Europe, Asia and Africa. This plant is known for many millenniums, not only because of its esthetical qualities, but also because of its healing properties and body nourishments. Herbal material is fructus of wild rose. The product of wild rose is very rich in vitamin C, carotenes, organic acids, tannins, mineral salts and other compounds. Because of the rich chemical compositions of this raw material, wild rose products are being used in the treatment of different diseases and sicknesses. Generally, known treatment properties are that of the followings; gastroenteritis, laryngitis, conjunctivitis and infectious diseases. Moreover, rose products are valuable in households, and in food processing. As a healing plant, it is ever needed, which is seen in latest informations (bulletins) on the potential treatment properties of this plant.
