Summary
The honeybee – collected pollen contains in highest amounts: sugars (33.7%), total proteins (23.9%) and cellulose (22.4%). In lower amount are present: water (9.5%), total lipids (5.4%), bioelements (1.3%), phenolic compounds (1.2%) and vitamins (0.2%). The total amount of above mentioned components is 97.6%. For this reason it could be assumed, that 70% of substances being present in honeybee pollen (excluding water and cellulose) show the biological activity, which could be used succesfully for diet supplementation. This product is characterized especially by a strong adaptogenic activity.
