Summary
The paper reviews the reports of the last decade on the pharmacological actions of the species from the genus Cedrus against their using in traditional medicine. The results of research on chemical composition of the genus Cedrus are also presented. The types of actions of essential oils and different extracts from the cedar to be reviewed pertain to antiinflammatory, antiulcer, antibacterial, antifungal, anthiasthmatic, and other activities.
