Summary
The biological and pharmacological properties of bee honey have been discussed considering the antibiotic activity. By the description of honey composition the particular note have been taken of the compounds of plant origin responsible for the antimicrobial activity and for the role of honey in phytotherapy. The unifloral honeys and herb honeys have been taken into consideration also the possibility of their use by prophylaxis and therapy have been presented.
