Based on the outcome ofconference on Food Supplements and Organie Foods run in conjunction with the Natural Products EXPO-2000 in Amsterdam, an attempt has been madę in this paper to outline current regulations related specifically to herbs and herbal preparations for marketing in the EU and countries outside the Europę, mainly in the USA and Australia. Ań emphasis was put on the issue „Can herbal products coexist in the EU under both food and medicine law"?
