Rzepień pospolity ( Xanthium strumarium L.) – analiza fitochemiczna steroli i triterpenów

Summary
The present work relates to analysis of composition of sterols and triterpenes fraction. It is a continuation of fitochemical research considering this unknown medicinal plant. There is presented depicted data about sterols and triterpenes, their structure, properties and medicinal use.
In experimantal part of the paper, there is presented analysis of precentage content of sterols and triterpenes. Moreover there is described analysis of their qualitative and quantitative composition. For the first time the determination of precentage content of the sum of sterols and triterpenes was carried. Also there was carried qualitative and quantitative analysis using GC/MS furthemore the ability of physical and chemical factors (ultrasound and temperature) on procedures of extraction and isomerisation was showed. In the investigated extracts the main componet of sterol fraction was β-sitosterol, and of triterpene fraction was lupeol.
