Summary
Naringenin and its derivatives are constituents of some fruits (grapefruits, oranges, mandarins) and herbal medicinals (Salicis cortex). Over last years pharmacological activity of flavanones was extensively investigated – including naringenin and its prenyl derivatives (6-PN and 8-PN). The article presents the results of research on estrogenic, antiarteriosclerotic, antiulcer, antioxidant and neuroprotective activities of these compounds
