Streszczenie
In the work the most important enteric pathogens of acute gastroenteritis in children are presented. Epidemiology, clinical symptoms and methods for diagnosis of particular pathogens are described. Rotavirus is a leading etiologic agent of severe gastroenteritis in young children in the community and in the hospital, bacterial agents are detected rarely.
