Streszczenie
Urinary tract infections are common bacterial infection amoung young febrile children. Urinary tract infection especially in the presence of vesico-ureteral reflux may lead to scarring of the kidney and progresive renal disease. The risk of irreversible renal scarring leading to hypertension and renal failure enhances importance of early diagnosis and effective treatment.
