Obserwacje kliniczne niemowląt z siniczymi wadami serca przed i po wykonaniu u nich zespolenia systemowo-płucnego

Streszczenie
The aim of the study was to asses the circulatory system in 62 pts with cyanotic heart malformations after modified Blalock-Taussig shunt. Deterioration of clinical condition, severe cyanosis and partial pressure of oxygen below 20mmHg were the indication for the palliative operation. After the operation clinical condition improved with decrease of polycythemia and increase of oxygenation especially in newborn and neonates. Pulmonary vascular bed markings increased in 54 pts, in 2 pts was asymmetrical and in 2 pts there were no changes. 2 newborn died in early postoperative period. In 8 pts modified Blalock-Taussig anastomosis on the other side was performed because of the occlusion. The modified Blalock-Taussig shunt is an effective palliative treatment in children with cyanotic heart malformations.
