Streszczenie
Haemophilus influenzae type b is common cause of invasive bacterial disease among children under 5 years of age. The development of a conjugate vaccines with enhanced immunogenicity allowed their effective and safe use even among youngest children. Introduction of Hib conjugate vaccines as routine infant immunization in some countries of the world dramatically decreased the incidence of disease. Currently recommend Hib vaccination schedules are presented.
