Streszczenie
This article is a trial to present new possibilities to objectivize the oxygen status at the children operated due to congenital heart diseases under extra corporal circulation (ECC). Traditional analysis of the oxygen status has limited to pO₂, pCO₂ and pH in the arterial, capillary or venous blood.
PX – index defined by Siggard-Andersen called oxygen extraction pressure represents maximum information that can be delivered by analysis of arterial blood. PX – index informs about an actual oxygen availability to tissues of the human organism.
