Streszczenie
It has been shown a case of 6-old month baby-girl with shaken baby syndrome, one of the form of maltreatment syndrome. In our baby we observed subarachnoid haemorrhage and retinal haemorrhage, which disappeared after 2 weeks. Shaken baby syndrome is frequently over-looked even by experienced doctors because scanty clinical signs. It should be suspected in all children below one year of age, who present drowsiness, coma, seizures and/or respiratory disorders during admission. In additional tests subdural haematomas, intracranial haemorrhages, retinal haemorrhages are found very often.
