Streszczenie
The paper aims at the assessment of the health condition and the level of morphological development of the newborns born in Kędzierzyn-Koźle in 2004.
Prenented results concern 742 healthy newborns of both sexes; born from a single pregnancy lasting from 30 to 42 weeks. The assessment of the newborn newborns´ health condition was made using the Apgar scale, while at the assessing morphological development measurements of the body weight and length as well as the circumferences of chest and head were taken into consideration.
