Streszczenie
The aim of the paper is valuation of the body image perception among middle-aged women subjected to improvement with recreational gymnastics. The level of self-satisfaction resulting from body perception was researched with L. Zion body image scale. 64 middle-aged women were examined. They were divided into 2 groups: experimental and control one. Experimental group was subjected to improvement by taking recreational gymnastics´ exercises during the period of 10 months. Control group was formed by women which didn´t take exercises. In both groups the following variables were measured: fitness, chosen features of body morphology elements. Measurements were taken before the beginning and after the end of experiment.
