Streszczenie
124 boys aged 7-14 years from Wrocław were examined, from 1979 to 1986, as regards their somatic build (Carter, Heath 1967), motor abilities and the localisation of the body center of mass (direct method with use of one-sided lever). The results show that mesomorphy occurred to be developed to the highest level in whole period. Moreover the scores of boys in the locomotion speed, agility, and the explosive force of lower extremities were better and better. There was set-back of development of two finishing traits in 10-11 and 12-13 years of age. General body center of mass has rising values during subsequent years (from 70.1 to 92.6 cm), the mean value of the body center of mass index shows rather low variability (56.5%-55.5%).
The linear correlation analysis didn´t show clear relationships between the position of the body center of mass and three body components and motor abilities. However there were found correlations between better scores of the motor abilities and the ectomorfic component, also between worse scores of the physical tests and the endomorfic build.
