Streszczenie
Whereas natural menopause causes a gradual decrease in estrogen levels after months to years of anovulation, surgical menopause results in dramatic and precipitous decreases in estrogen, progesterone and testosterone content in circulating blood. Bilateral salpigooopheroctomy performed in premenopausal women causes important somatic and physiologic changes. Therefore, the early initiation of hormone replacement therapy following surgical castration is recommended in most of the patients.
