Summary
A few hundred papers on the application of different types of laser in many fields of medicine have been published recently. In this paper we tray to present the action and application of CO₂ – laser in the treatment of skin diseases in the past. We also discuss new therapeutic methods of treatment of some dermatological diseases, which were considered to be incurable 40 years ago. These new methods were introduced in therapy together with development of laser surgery.
