Streszczenie
The aim of this research was the evaluation of the nutritional knowledge of kindergarten staff.
162 kindergarten staff from Pabianice were sampled by means of a questionnaire wchich enquired their nutritional knowledge regarding nutrition of kindergarteners and cooking of food for them.
A statistical analysis of the results was carried out by means of a computer programme SPSS 6.1 for Windows. A statistic of the chi-square test of independence was used. The influence of position of employees on the examined parameters of nutrition was analysed.
The nutritionalknowledge of the kindergarten staff was sufficient, however some questions were difficult for them.
It is suggested that the staff should be taught the principles of kindergarteners nutrition and preparation of meals for them, especially if bearing in mind the statistics of the metabolic diseases and high mortality of men in Poland.
